Glass doors are very common in homes, offices, shops and other places. The glass door is not beautiful, but it has something to do with the installation method. The following small series will introduce the installation method of glass doors and the precautions for glass door installation:

1. Positioning and setting out are composed of fixed glass and movable glass door leaves, Conduct setting out and positioning uniformly, set out the positioning line of the glass door according to the requirements of the design and construction drawings, and determine the position of the door frame at the same time.

2. The width of the limit groove at the top of the mounting frame shall be 2-4 mm greater than the glass thickness, and the groove depth shall be 10-20 mm. At the beginning of installation, two metal trim panel side lines are led out from the middle line, then the limit groove at the top of the door frame is installed according to the side line, and the groove depth in the groove is adjusted through the glued backing plate.

3. Install the wooden bottom support with metal finish, fix the square wood on the ground, and stick the metal decorative panel to the wood with universal glue. If aluminum alloy square pipe is used, it can be fixed on the frame column with aluminum angle or on the wooden brick embedded in the ground with wood screws.

4. Install the vertical door frame, connect the snapped center line, nail the square wood of the door frame, then use plywood to determine the shape and position of the door frame column, and finally wrap the metal decorative surface. When wrapping the veneer, the position of the butt joint of the veneer shall be placed at the middle door on both sides of the glass.

5. Install the glass, use the glass suction cup machine to suck the thick glass tightly, and lift the thick glass plate to the installation position. First insert the upper part of the glass into the limit slot at the top of the door frame, and then put the lower part of the glass on the bottom support.

6. Two small square wood strips are nailed inside and outside to fix the glass on the bottom support square wood, the thick glass is clamped on the middle door, the square wood strip is painted with universal glue, and the facing metal is adhered to the square wood strip.

7. Note: the glass glue shall be sealed at both sides of the top limit slot and the bottom bracket opening, as well as at the butt joint between the thick glass and the frame column. The glass glue shall be injected for sealing, and the excess glass glue shall be scraped off with a tool.

8. When the fixed part of the glass butt joint glass door needs to be spliced due to its large size, the butt joint shall have a width of 2-3mm, and the edge of the glass plate shall be chamfered.

9. Ground spring installation before door leaf installation, the ground spring and the locating pin on the top surface of the door frame shall be installed and must be coaxial. During installation, it is best to check with a hanging plumb line to ensure that they are in the same straight line.

10. Install the upper and lower door clamps. Install the upper and lower metal door clamps on the upper and lower ends of the glass door leaf respectively. If the height of the door leaf is not enough, wooden splint strips can be padded at the bottom of the glass in the lower door clamp.

11. Fix the glass door. After fixing the height of the door leaf, insert small wooden strips into the gap between the glass and the upper and lower door clamps, and inject glass glue into the gap for fixation.

12. When installing the door leaf, first pull the positioning pin out of the beam plane by 2mm with its own adjusting screw, erect the office glass door leaf, align the hole position of the rotating pin connector in the door clamp under the door leaf with the rotating pin shaft of the ground spring, rotate the door leaf, put the hole position on the pin shaft, and rotate the door leaf at right angles to the cross beam of the door frame, Align the rotary connector hole in the door clamp of the door leaf with the locating pin on the door frame beam, adjust the adjusting screw of the locating pin, and insert the locating pin into the hole.

13. Before the installation of the handle, apply a little glass glue on the part where the handle is inserted into the glass. When the handle is assembled, the root is close to the glass, and then press the fixing screw to ensure that the handle is not loose.

Precautions for glass door installation:

1. Before installing the glass door, check whether the door and window leaves are flat and whether the reserved holes are complete and accurate. If they do not meet the requirements, they should be corrected first.

2. The steel frame and door leaf glass shall be fixed with steel wire clamps, the spacing shall not be greater than 300mm, and there shall be no less than two on each side. The putty surface layer can also be applied on the steel wire clamps to increase the tightness.

3. If it is fixed with putty, the putty shall be filled and troweled. If a rubber pad is used, the rubber pad shall be embedded first and fixed with pressure strips and screws.

4. If the pressing strip is used for fixing, the pressing strip is usually added on four sides or both sides and sealed with sealant.

5. The installation of various auxiliary materials shall meet the design requirements and relevant standards.

6. When assembling colored glass and patterned glass, it shall be consistent with the design pattern without dislocation, skew and looseness. The orientation of the glass shall meet the design requirements.
